2017 NY Sheep and Wool Festival

Arm-knitting is all the rage — and so fun to do! Leave your needles at home and learn how to create a cozy chunky-knit cowl or scarf using only your arms and a skein of yarn. And maybe a pair of scissors. But that's it! 

Join DC designer and yarn-crafter Shelli Martinez for an couple hours of weaving, gabbing and fiber fun. Missing this would be a Big mistake.

Going Gnome has a new Baby Owls Kit and it makes Sarah, Percy and Bill, the three baby owls from Martin Waddell's book "Owl Babies."  

You will make Bill in the class, this cute little guy is nervous about when his mom will return.  Learn how to use a felting needle as a sculpting tool, and make this cute baby owl, and take home the materials to make 2 more.  Great class to explore what you can do with needle felting.

Level of experience:  beginner

Materials Provided by Instructor:  2 38 triangle felting needles, work pad, wool needed to complete the baby owl, plus materials to bring home to complete 2 more. 

Materials Provided by Student:  none (they can bring needle felting tools they own if they wish)
