Kumihomo: Beaded Bracelet - SOLD OUT

Back by popular demand!

Using a modern and simplified and portable foam kumihimo disc, students will learn to braid the Kumihimo, and add beads to make a bracelet.    2 size beads will be used which forms a lovely spiral.  They will learn how to finish the bracelet with  jewelry  findings.  

Level of experience: Beginner/intermediate

Materials provided by instructor: Kumihimo disc, 8 X 2 1/2 “ bobbins ,weight, DMC pearle cotton size 5, 2  beading needles,  seed beads size 6/0 with 10/0 and/or 11/0, a beading mat and findings to complete the  bracelet. 

Materials provided by student:   None.  Feel free to bring a battery operated task light if you need one.

Viking Knitting: Zen, not Warlike - SOLD OUT
Limited Capacity seats available

Students will make a stunning bracelet, using a simple looping technique as used by the Vikings, with wire and a stick, which looks like knitting.    This simple craft which looks complicated, makes very beautiful bracelets, earrings or necklaces etc. is portable and fun to do.   Students will add beads to embellish the bracelet and learn how to add the findings.

Level of experience:    Beginner/intermediate

Materials provided by instructor:  Dowel with startup bundle, 2’ of 20 gauge wire for finishing, and findings, beads, draw plate and handout 

Materials provided by student:  Jewelry pliers – flat nosed and round nosed and side cutters (nippers) and Ice pick, 24 or 26 gauge wire in copper or aluminum.  Optional:  Battery operated task light.
