This sewing project makes use of felted wool sweaters and introduces the idea of crafting with recycled materials. Participants have the choice of creating stuffed friends or simple patchwork pillows, hand-stitched and embellished with wool yarn and felt.

This simple, free-style embroidery project makes use of wool yarn and is great for little ones to get the feel of stitching! Children will use a piece of burlap stretched in an embroidery hoop, a plastic needle and wool yarn to create abstract or simple designs, and voila, a “yarn painting!” Older children or adults are encouraged to use the same materials to create more complicated embroidery designs!
