Megan Williams, with her co-author Cori Eichelberger are Minnesotans who travel Highway 52 back and forth to see each other and attend knitting events. Their travel shenanigans inspired this book of knitting patterns. But Minnesota 52 is not just a pattern book for Minnesota knitters; it represents a movement currently taking place for hand crafters. Friends have begun traveling together to retreats, festivals, conventions or just weekends away to share a passion for knitting with one another. In the past 5-10 years, knitters worldwide have formed a community who meet up for camaraderie, classes and chitchat.
